Copywriter

The holder of this position will work mainly in the Marketing and Communication departments, writing persuasive and thought-provoking copy for numerous campaigns. The copywriter, or creative content provider, needs to able to capture the intended audience’s attention in a few words and sometimes an image or two. The incumbent will be responsible for crafting engaging copy by maintaining the messaging and brand voice across various channels resulting in a stronger connection with our target market and our current supporters. The successful candidate will be working in a high-energy open plan environment, so good interpersonal skills and a high EQ are crucial for this role.

Office Cleaner

The holder of this position will be responsible for general office cleaning duties as well as preparing / serving refreshments to staff and guests and assisting staff with ad hoc requests.

Administrative Assistant: Local

The holder of this position will be responsible for ensuring the effective administration of the Local Provincial department as well as the monitoring and engaging through various social media platforms to keep the channels updated and brand-focused. The incumbent will be familiar with office management technologies and will be able to identify and address the needs of the department whilst performing administrative tasks to ensure the workflow runs smoothly. The purpose of the social media aspect of this position is not only to engage with our supporters, but to show them that we are listening. This position requires diligence, and a good communicator who has a broad understanding of all relevant projects and campaigns and a passion for championing the rights of others.

Legal Advisor: Local

The holder of this position will be responsible for conducting project specific legislative research in order to support the identification of legal frameworks for potential action/ litigation, drafting of legal documents and providing assistance to the Chief Legal Officer and/ or legal managers and/ or Senior Legal Advisors. Working to tight deadlines and in a team environment is vital.

Communications Manager: Local

The holder of this position will be responsible for devising, implementing and managing all internal and external communications for the local division, ensuring messages are consistent with the OUTA communications policy. The successful candidate will drive the division’s communication initiatives, strategically ensuring the professionalism of the organisation is portrayed, when utilising various mediums. The incumbent will provide leadership, guidance and support to the Local Communications team. A particular note needs to be given to the fact that the position requires a propensity to working to tight deadlines and at a fast pace within a team environment.

Head of Marketing & Communications

The holder of this position will be responsible for all aspects pertaining to the public relations, communications and marketing activities of the company. The purpose of the position is to raise awareness of the brand and the profile of its work, throughout the divisions, whilst ensuring the positive image of OUTA is maintained and supporter growth is aided and achieved.

Executive Manager – Head of National Division

The Head of OUTA’s National Division is an Executive appointment  provides strategic leadership, direction and operational management of the National Division by ensuring that all projects and cases undertaken are managed and advanced through the respective Portfolio management and functional team structures to achieve the organisations objectives and mandate. In this position, the incumbent reports to the CEO and plays a vital supporting role to the Executive team and the Board.

Junior Projects & Research Coordinator

The Junior Projects & Research Coordinator will report directly to the Portfolio Manager and will assist as the administrative liaison, facilitating the effective coordination of project resources and other ad hoc requirements of the portfolio manager.  This candidate will also offer ad hoc research support, including retrieval of relevant information and assist the Portfolio Manager in everyday tasks. The Junior Coordinator must be well-organised, capable of working under pressure, able to multitask with a high attention to detail.

The Coordinator must be well-organised, capable of working under pressure, able to multitask with a high attention to detail.
