Job purpose

The Member Relationship Agent will provide assistance to members with various queries, telephonic and email, facilitate the handling and processing of member information and aid the Member Relationship Manager with increasing capacity. The successful candidate must have a good understanding of the OUTA brand and its mandate, an excellent knowledge and interest in current affairs and a passion for working with people.

Duties and responsibilities

This person should have superior people skills, be a good communicator, have the foresight to assess potential opportunities and be able to prioritise.

The Member Relationship Agent must:

  • Handle and attend to all inbound member queries, both email and telephonic
  • Regularly liaise with the external provider, forwarding queries regarding the updating of member personal and contribution information
  • Capture member information on the in-house system, keeping records of all interactions
  • Respond to member queries timeously
  • Process membership documentation via the online portal
  • Prioritise workload and manage time effectively
  • Deliver and maintain a high level of member satisfaction
  • Conduct outbound calls to facilitate the marketing and support of OUTA membership, according to predetermined scripts
  • Generate membership to achieve set monthly targets
  • Identify and overcome challenges

Preferred Qualifications

A suitable candidate must have a keen interest in the field of membership relation with an organised and analytical mindset.

Qualifications:

  • Matric (Degree or diploma in a related field will be advantageous)
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a sales call center environment
  • Business writing skills a plus
  • Experience in Salesforce advantageous

Working conditions

This position will be largely office based at OUTA Head Office in Randburg. The position will however, also require occasional travel.

Remuneration

R10,000.00 per month, total cost to Organisation, plus commission, according to commission structure

Job purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for research associated with supporting the goals of the Organisation. They will need to utilise multiple streams of data, such as the internet, legal documents, surveys and other published research to find and collate information for report purposes. The researcher will expedite all research related queries and projects, and disseminate relevant analytics and insights to the head of department, the various teams and management on a regular basis or according to deadlines.

Duties and responsibilities

This person should have good interpersonal and time management skills, strong intellect and problem-solving capabilities and have good functional and technical understanding of the research process and methodologies.

The Researcher must:

  • Provide input into research projects in terms of: objectives, research design, modelling and analytics, solutions and methodologies
  • Be personally responsible for the quality of own deliverables produced and double checking all the deliverables against all possible checks, before passing on
  • Report writing and presentations – analysing and interpreting tables/transcripts/outputs in line with project objectives
  • Be responsible for the integrity of all research information and at all times, avoid plagiarism
  • Regularly report project progress to supervisors and communicate with team members, verifying that all projects and tasks are on schedule.
  • Implement projects from early planning stages to completion
  • Identify critical issues in assigned fields of focus and develop expertise in these areas.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in research project design and management.
  • Project brief and timing.
  • Sample design.
  • Data collection brief.
  • Data processing and analysis.
  • Report writing and presentations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Logical interpretation skills.
  • Effective time and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree in a related field
  • Strong research experience, both quantitative and qualitative
  • Preparing factual reports
  • Working knowledge of legal terminology, a plus
  • Computer skills – MS Office etc.
  • Basic field and data processing management skills
