CITY OF JOHANNESBURG EXTENDS OBJECTION DEADLINE ON PROPERTY RATES AFTER PRESSURE

Are you a resident of Johannesburg concerned about fair property rates? OUTA is here to help. Through our Community Action Network (CAN) initiative, we have been actively educating residents on the property valuation process and the importance of public participation. We held a webinar on the topic and created a page on our website to help navigate the objection process. And now, thanks to pressure from residents and organisations like OUTA, the City of Johannesburg (COJ) has extended the inspection and objection period for the General Valuation Roll (GVR) 2023 to May 5, 2023. Don't wait until the last minute to inspect your property valuations and object to any unfair increases. Take advantage of this extension and ensure that you will be paying fair property rates.
