OUTA’s water division, WaterCAN, in partnership with Lawyers for Human Rights, recently hosted a webinar addressing the dire state of South Africa's water resources. Industrial and government pollution pose significant threats, and it's time for citizens to take action to protect these resources. The panel discussion, facilitated by Mark Heywood and including whistleblower Ian Erasmus, WaterCAN’s Dr Ferrial Adam and Palesa Maloisane from Lawyers for Human Rights, emphasized the vital role of whistleblowers and citizen involvement in monitoring and holding polluters accountable.
