In early 2025, OUTA took a hard look at where we’re needed most. The outcome? A decision to refocus on our core mission: tackling corruption, maladministration, and irrational policy, while supporting other valuable initiatives to grow on their own.

Projects like WaterCAN, JoburgCAN and the Link App have made a real impact in civic activism, but they also stretched our resources. These initiatives will now evolve independently, with our support during the transition.

Internally, we’ve streamlined, made tough staffing calls, and reset for impact. Leaner. Sharper. More determined than ever to hold power to account.
