CIVIL SOCIETY CONDEMNS INTIMIDATION OF SCOPA CHAIRPERSON AND RAF WHISTLEBLOWERS
Civil society organisations, including OUTA, have united to denounce threats and intimidation aimed at Parliament’s Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA) chairperson Mkhuleko Hlengwa and whistleblowers exposing corruption at the Road Accident Fund.
These attacks are part of a pattern - people who speak out about graft are too often targeted instead of protected. OUTA believes whistleblower safety is non-negotiable: if they are silenced, corruption thrives unchecked. Protecting them is essential to rooting out the rot and building a culture of accountability.
