We have always maintained that the deals surrounding the implementation of e-tolls on Gauteng freeways were suspect, and early in March OUTA – with the help of a whistleblower - exposed alleged corruption and bribery by the e-toll collection company (ETC) and its majority owner (Kapsch TrafficCom). 

We also reported how Kapsch ignored calls for an investigation. After this exposé, more whistleblowers approached us with further information, which we also handed over to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA). Read here and here.
