Cape Town Pollution: Camps Bay Marine Protected Area

Odoo CMS - a big picture

The seas around the Cape Peninsula are rich in marine biodiversity because this is where the cold Benguela and warm Atlantic currents mix. The importance of the sustainability of this area led to the proclamation of the Table Mountain National Park Marine Protected Area (MPA).

We’re helping Cape Town fight for clean water

The MPA consists of restricted or “no-take” zones which are important breeding and nursery areas for marine life. By leaving these areas undisturbed there will ultimately be an increase in marine stock and threatened species are given a chance to regenerate.
