Government has postponed AARTO yet again after releasing regulations with unreadable offence schedules and no real public participation. OUTA says this confirms what we have argued for years: AARTO’s design is irrational, unworkable and guaranteed to fail without major reform.

The Department of Transport now wants to expand AARTO to dozens of new municipalities while the core system remains broken. OUTA is calling for a full, transparent review before any rollout continues.​
