OUTA has identified major inaccuracies and legal overreach in the Association of Municipal Electricity Utilities’ recent position paper on small-scale embedded generation.

While safety is essential, the AMEU paper misinterprets national legislation and proposes requirements municipalities are not empowered to impose. OUTA warns that this will confuse installers, burden residents and undermine renewable energy uptake.​
