The Western Cape Parliament presented the steps it has taken, to deepen its collaboration with civil society, strengthen committee work and improve public access to information, during a seminar funded by Konrad Adenauer Stiftung in October.

OUTA views this as a positive model for other legislatures. Effective oversight only works when citizens and institutions pull in the same direction.​
