On 15 February, the Pretoria High Court struck Myeni's urgent appeal to stop the enforcement of the delinquency order against her, off the roll. Her only legal option to reverse the delinquency verdict, is to appeal directly to the Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA). However, as she missed the deadline for a SCA application, her chances are slim. 

Why is this such an important case? Declaring Myeni – described as a “director gone rogue” by Judge Tolmay - a delinquent director for life sets an important legal precedent, and OUTA hopes this will serve as a warning to all government and SOE officials who work with public funds to exercise their fiduciary duties with honesty, in the public interest and without abuse of power.
