TRANSNET ARRESTS: A MOVE IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION – BUT LONG OVERDUE
After years of pressure from civil society, two former Transnet executives have finally been arrested in connection with dodgy locomotive procurement deals. While we welcome this development, we know the drill - arrests are not convictions, and justice delayed can still be justice denied.
We’ll be watching closely to make sure this process doesn’t fizzle out like so many others. Billions were lost. We want answers, accountability, and reform.
