WHY IS OUTA TARGETING KOKO?

Koko was in a strategic position at Eskom and acted for the benefit of the Guptas when they bought Optimum Coal Holdings. He helped facilitate payments from Eskom to the Guptas which played a big role in their acquisition.

WHAT IS OUTA DOING?

OUTA has laid charges of fraud and corruption against Koko. OUTA will follow this up to encourage prosecution.

WHY IS THIS WRONGDOING?

Koko was in an executive position at Eskom, a position of trust and authority. He abused this position to benefit the Guptas, took favours from them in a paid trip to Dubai and abused Eskom’s resources to help them push Optimum coal mine into financial distress, force its sale to the Guptas and help them fund the purchase.
